Ghatkesar: Six-year-old girl's throat slit, dies

Hyderabad: A six-year-old girl was brutally murdered by an unidentified person at Ghatkesar on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Ghatkesar police of the Rachakonda commissionerate registered a murder case and began an investigation.

According to the police, the accused, who is yet to be identified, allegedly slit the throat of the victim with a sharp object. Her parents rushed the girl to a private hospital at Kushaiguda area, where doctors declared she was brought dead. It was found that a deep injury in the throat led to the death of the girl.

The girl's family lives in Vihari Homes, a gated community in Ismailkhanguda in Pocharam municipality. The girl's family belonging to Bhongir district were residing at Vihari homes. Her mother had developed a relationship with Karunakar from Bhongir. But during recent times, she had kept him away and was also avoiding his calls. It was learned that he came to Vihari homes a couple of times to meet the girl's mother, but she refused to meet. Boring a grudge on the girl's mother for avoiding him, Karunakar killed the girl, according to sources.
