'Hang rapists in public' chorus echoes in Shadnagar
By Newsmeter Network Published on 30 Nov 2019 8:39 AM GMTHyderabad: There is a nationwide condemnation of the brutal gang-rape and murder of a 26-year-old veterinary doctor on Wednesday in Shadnagar and severe punishment for her killers.
After detaining the four rapists, police said that the doctor was forced to drink alcohol, which rendered her semiconscious. Despite feeling drowsy, she resisted when her attackers tried to force themselves on her.
With the huge ongoing protests by locals and college students in front of the police station, Shadnagar police are not able to take the four rapists to court with the entire lane blocked by the furious public who demand the most severe punishment to the killers. Slogans demanding the accused to be hanged were also heard.
The furious locals are demanding that the four rapists-killers be left in their hands as the four deserve the most severe punishment for the gut-wrenching murder of the vet doctor. Amid the surcharged atmosphere, scuffles erupted between the protestors and policemen.
Following this, the Shadnagar Bar Association has decided that there will be no assistance to the killers.
Earlier, members of the National Commission for Women met the family members of the Vet doctor.
