Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heat wave warning to the Telugu states till May 24.

Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Telangana on May 22, 23 and 24, said IMD, Meteorological Centre, Hyderabad. The department also said similar heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail at Isolated pockets in soth coastal AP and Rayalaseema on May 22 and 23.

Temperature recorded today has risen by 3 Degree Celsius or more in isolated parts of Telangana and Rayalseema.

Heat wave is considered if maximum temperature of a station reaches at least 40°C or more for plains, 37°C or more for coastal stations and at least 30°C or more for hilly regions.
