Hyderabad: Telangana has reported 105 COVID deaths and 3147 positive cases ever since the pandemic broke out. In the recent times, the state has been witnessing a spike in both deaths and new COVID cases. The health department authorities blame it on the increase in public movement following the relaxations, arrival of migrants and foreign returnees.
It is pertinent to mention that a high number of cases are being reported from Hyderabad every single day. There many localities that are still placed under containment zones. According to the latest list ( as on June 3rd) there are 150 containment zones falling under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits.
Under the Uppal GHMC circle, there are 16 containment zones and 4 under Saroor nagar, namely ( NTR Nagar, RK Puram Road no.1, Satyanarayana Puram Chaitanya Puri and New Gaddi Anaram). While under Hyathnagar, NGO colony (6 houses opposite Meeseva) have been marked as containment zone.
Malakpet has one containment zone, 16 in Santhosh nagar, 2 in Chandrayangutta, 5 in Charminar, and 4 in Falaknuma. Here is the full list.
Under Mehdipatnam GHMC circle there 5 localities placed under containment zone following a high number of new COVID cases. SBI colony Mehdipatnam, Jebba Bhag, Sitaram Bhag Ram Lella ground, Murad Nagar Kunta and Khishan nagar are restricted places. While Karwan which has been marked as a hotspot has 17 containment areas, 5 under Khairatabad and 8 in Jubilee hills.
In Secunderabad zone, Lalaguda, Mahendra hills, Tukaramgate, Medi Bhavi Sitaphal mandi, Dadar compound and Chikalaguda Dubabhai are restricted zones. Here is the list
The remaining fall under Moosapet (10) , Rajendra nagar ( 7), Chandanagar, Serilingampally , Quthbullapur. While 9 containment zones fall under Jalpally Municipality and Badangpet respectively.
