Hope, healing, resurgence: Samanatha Akkineni falls in love with `green'

Sam has been posting about her newfound love for gardening on her social media. She has come up with a terrace garden, with the help , a sustainable farming company. The garden seems to have all the leafy vegetables she needs for her household. In fact, she posts Instagram stories on how she wakes up and checks on her garden babies. In one of her instagram stories, she spoke about getting her hands dirty, while she can be seen prepping the mud to plant new seeds.
Sam visited her friend and nutritionist Sridevi Jasti to learn more on how to cook these greens. She shared a series of pictures on how she made the āyummiestā tom-yum soup under the guidance of Jasti.
She even wrote about the enormous amount of effort that goes into sowing, germinating and bringing one meal on the table. From watching master class videos on gardening to experimenting with new techniques like micro-sprouting, Sam is doing it all and creating awareness among her followers on growing greens and the importance of farming.
All her instagram stories on her zest for gardening and the growing love for it is chronicled and put up in the highlight section of instagram. She also recently posted on her timeline on how she finally has an answer to what her hobby is, which does not include her profession. She can be seen holding a fully blossomed butter-head lettuce.

Well, green seems to be the only colour on her mind right now. Namrata Shirodkar nominated her for the Corona Quilt Project wherein people are asked to quilt in squares about being in this pandemic together and hoping for the good times. In response to her nomination, Samantha put together a square with leaves and flowers in the shape of world map. āGreen is the colour of hope, healing and resurgence. We will look back at this time in our lives and be proud of one another that we never gave up,ā she captioned, thanking those who helped her with the project and Namrata.
