How to check bed availability for COVID patient in Andhra hospitals

Amaravati: People can now directly monitor the availability of beds in 138 hospitals across Andhra Pradesh.

The Andhra Pradesh government has come up with another ‘trump card’ to defeat Covid-19 in the state.

Under the new government plan, a citizen has to scan a QR code to obtain all the necessary details regarding the allocation and availability of beds in his/her respective district.

The ‘QR code’ technology is an attempt to not only diversify the options but also reduce the response time in case of emergencies.

The state has set up centralized help-lines (104, 108, 14410) on which people can seek information. The state government has also set up helplines at the district level to cater to a plethora of healthcare needs of its citizens.

The state government has been proactive in assessing ground realities and formulating policies accordingly.

From extending financial assistance for funerals to paying Rs 5000 to plasma donors and bed allocation within 30 minutes, the government has come up with a solution for every challenge.

With over 130 hospitals spread across 13 districts, helplines for COVID and non-COVID medical needs, Andhra Pradesh has set multiple examples when it comes to dealing with the pandemic.

A strong army of over 2.5 lakh volunteers is on the ground to execute policies. Transparent data disseminating machinery and alert leadership is catering to the needs real-time.
