Hyderabad: Police have arrested six students and four management members of New Madina Junior College, Tolichowki, for exam malpractices.

Acting on specific information, a team of Police Task Force along with DIEO raided the college and caught eight students red-handed while cheating.

All the eight students were booked for malpractices. Six students were arrested while two others managed to escape.

Later Task Force arrested four members from the management who allegedly confessed to the crime. Telangana State Board of Intermediate (TSBIE) believes that illegal activities might not have been possible without the support of college management.

New Madina Junior College was designated as a center for the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) which started from March 4.

TSBIE has now issued a show-cause notice to the management of New Madina Junior College.

Special Chief Secretary of Telangana Education Department has asked Secretary/Correspondent of New Madina Junior College to explain as to why its affiliation should not be cancelled. He has been asked to submit a written reply within three days, failing which further necessary action will be initiated.
