Intermediate exams begin across Telangana today

Hyderabad, March 4: A total of 9,65,875 students appeared for Intermediate examinations, which began across Telangana State on Wednesday. To be held from 8:45 am to 12 pm, they will conclude on March 18.

A total of 26, 964 invigilators, 75 flying squads and 150 sitting squads, consisting of police and members from education department, are monitoring the exam process, including maintaining a vigil against malpractices.

Education Minister Sabitha Reddy said “Students need not worry as each exam centre has control rooms. Don’t believe any rumours.”

Some students complained that due to lack of bus facilities they were unable to reach their centres on time.

The board has also established counselling centres and students can call control rooms on Tel Nos: 040-24600110/24732369 for any query or complaint.

Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education on Tuesday slammed Sri Medha 'V' Junior College and B.R. Ambedkar Vocational Junior College for cheating almost 78 Intermediate students, who were to appear the exam.
