Hyderabad man arrested for clicking obscene pictures of his step daughter
By Newsmeter Network Published on 19 Aug 2020 8:37 AM GMTHyderabad: Nacharam police arrested Rajesh Keswani (50) on August 17, 2020, for clicking obscene pictures of daughter and saving them in his laptop. The issue came to light after victim's family lodged a complaint with the police.
The police arrested Rajesh Keswani under Sections 354, 354-C, 498-A, 323, 506 IPC, Sec 3, 4 of DP Act, Sec 11 r/w12 of POCSO Act 2012, and Sec 66E of I.T Act-2000, and seized one black colour Lenovo laptop and an external hard disk WD logo, a passport, mobile phone and one web camera from his possession, all used for committing the offence.
āOn July 19, we had received a complaint about the accused. As per the protocol, we sent him for a Covid test to a government hospital in Mallapur where he tested positive. We then we told him that there will be an enquiry only and that he will not be arrested. Then we sent him to home quarantine at Mallapur so that he doesnāt escape and on July 17, after he finished the quarantine period, we sent him for a test again when he tested negative and then we arrested him,ā added SHO T. Kiran Kumar, Nacharam police station.
Rajesh began harassing the victim, both physically and mentally, for additional dowry. He also sold her gold jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh to clear his personal debts. Later, he started misbehaving with her daughter by forcefully kissing her on the cheeks and clicking pictures while she was changing clothes when she was just 14 years, outraging her modesty, said the police.
The accused will be produced before the court.
