Hyderabad teen Chandni heads for World Junior Tennis Championship

Hyderabad: In a proud moment for all Hyderabadis, city girl Chandni Srinivasan has been selected for the AITA World Junior Tennis Championship in the U-14 category. The Championship will be held in Gold Coast Down Under next month.

Chandni Srinivasan, currently ranked Under-14 No.2 in AITA World rankings has been selected alongside fellow-Indians Shruthi Ahlawat from Haryana and Riya Sachdeva from Delhi. Incidentally, she has represented India in the U-12 category in the 2018 Asian U-12 championship at Kazakhstan.

The budding talent has been coached by different people, including at Bhavan's School Sainikpuri, Vasishta Tennis Academy, ARA Ahmedabad and SKTA Hyderabad.

Having pocketed six super titles in the last six months, her recent title triumphs include at SMTA Hyderabad in January & South Club, Kolkata this month.

Chandni is currently ranked No 22 in the U-16 Category.
