Telangana gears up for the 10th Formation Day celebrations.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao instructed officials to organise grand celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the state’s formation. The festivities, beginning on 2 June, will involve people from all sections of society, starting from the villages, and will showcase the impressive progress made in various sectors.

During a high-level review meeting with ministers and officials, KCR highlighted the achievements of the state government and emphasised the need to communicate them to the public. The 21-day-long celebrations will kick off with an opening ceremony at the new state Secretariat on 2 June.

“Telangana which was once subjected to many insults is now emerging in a remarkable way. The state registered progress in every sector, including electricity, agriculture, and irrigation, and stood as an example for the country,” said KCR.

He urged officials to organise programmes at the village level to highlight the state’s achievements in agriculture, electricity, and welfare and ensure the active participation of people. KCR also emphasised the importance of sharing the development achieved in every sector through various media channels.

The meeting was held to discuss the logistical aspects of the celebrations. KCR expressed his excitement about the upcoming events and said, “The 10th-anniversary celebrations are a significant moment in Telangana’s history. We want to celebrate the progress made over the past 10 years by involving people from every village. Telangana, which once suffered power shortages, now shines bright in the power sector. We are providing 24-hour free electricity to farmers, which was made possible through dedicated efforts.”

The CM further emphasised the advancements in agriculture, welfare, irrigation, drinking water, education, and healthcare. He called for the publication of these achievements through various media platforms.

The celebrations aim to create a festive atmosphere where people from Telangana can come together to rejoice in their self-governance achievements. KCR encouraged grand celebrations that extend from villages to towns, featuring games and activities.

Preparations for the opening ceremony include discussions on official programmes at the state Secretariat, such as stage arrangement, police salute, and the hoisting of the national flag. Instructions were also given for arrangements across the state, including parking facilities and guest reception.
