Meet 18-month-old artist Arhaan whose painting will be displayed at New York’s Pelham Gallery

Hyderabad: Eighteen-month-old Arhaan Sai Gourishetty created history when he became the youngest artist to make 50 modern fluid art paintings without using a traditional brush.

The child prodigy also entered the World Book of Records. He was also named "Prodigy of Fluid Arts" by the Wonder Book of Records and "Youngest Art Prodigy" by the Super Kids Telugu Book of Records. Arhaan has won four worlds and two national records.

What makes Arhaan's accomplishment even more astounding is that he did it completely on his own, with no official training on how to utilize paint tools.

“We just introduced him to painting as a sensory exercise, and his inherent talent for creativity and attention to detail took care of the rest. From floral arrangements with his grandma to his flowing art paintings, his works demonstrate an intuitive aptitude and a strong eye for detail,” said Arhaan’s mother Snehita Gourishetty

“Arhaan's exceptional talents have been recognized by organizations such as the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records. Arhaan's tale is an inspiration to many, and his creative achievements demonstrate the potential of instilling creativity and curiosity in youngsters. It is apparent that the abilities of this little artist will only increase and improve as he ages. He has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India for his artistic abilities” she added

Painting Techniques

Arhaan's fluid art paintings, done without the use of a standard brush, demonstrate his natural aptitude and originality. Arhaan's paintings are both aesthetically pleasing and emotionally engaging, as he employs 43 methods, including the novel use of toy car wheels as tools to produce unusual textures.

Arhaan’s Achievements

Arhaan's artistic talents have been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Arhaan was named "Child Prodigy" by the World Book of Records in London for being the youngest person to make 50 modern fluid art paintings employing 43 techniques.

4 international and 2 national records were set. In April 2023, one of Arhaan's artworks will be displayed at Pelham Gallery, New York.

Arhaan's artwork has also earned national and international acclaim, including winning an Indian art contest in 2023 and having his work featured in Indian children's publications.

2 artworks have been chosen to be featured in the online art Gallery - in India.

Arhaan's creative ability runs in the family. His older brother Aadith Gourishetty achieved a global record for his memory skills at just 21 months in 2020. He was recognized by the global Book of Records in London.
