18-month-old baby stolen from Niloufer hospital, baby lifter arrested
The Nampally police on Wednesday arrested a woman who stole an 18-month-old baby from Niloufer hospital in Hyderabad. The baby and the suspect woman were traced through CCTV footage in the premises.

Hyderabad: The Nampally police on Wednesday arrested a woman who stole an 18-month-old baby from Niloufer hospital in Hyderabad. The baby and the suspect woman were traced through CCTV footage in the premises.
As per official information, in the CCTV footage, it was found that the suspect woman, after stealing the baby from Niloufer hospital, went to Mehdipatnam in an auto and then to the toddy compound at Hydershakote along with the baby.
The incident came to limelight when J.Madhavi (30), a pregnant woman from Bobbilgam village in Rangareddy filed a complaint with the Nampally police. Madhavi had come for a regular check up to Niloufer hospital. After completing the test, she went to collect the report.
When she was standing in a line to collect the report, holding the baby in one hand, she raised her hand and loosened the grip to collect the report. In a fraction of seconds, the baby went missing.
On receiving the complaint, the Nampally police formed special teams to nab the accused. With clues like the blue colour frock of the baby, the police traced the suspect woman and arrested her.
