2 GHMC officials held for taking bribe
P. Mahalakshmi, deputy executive engineer, and Y. Vijay Kumar, sanitary field assistant of the GHMC Circle-1 Kapra were caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 in return for a job, at Mallapur crossroads in Nacharam.

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday caught P. Mahalakshmi, deputy executive engineer, and Y. Vijay Kumar, sanitary field assistant of the GHMC Circle-1 Kapra red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 in return for a job, at Mallapur crossroads in Nacharam.
According to the complainant, he had approached the duo for the job of sweeper for his mother. The job had originally belonged to her husband, now deceased. Both were arrested by the ACB officials for taking the bribe and a case has been opened.
