27 richest Hyderabad companies make it `Burgundy Private Hurun India 500' list
The valuation of these companies based in Hyderabad stands at Rs 6,53,411 Crore. The report comprises a list of 500 most-valued, non-state-owned companies in India.

The valuation of these companies based in Hyderabad stands at Rs 6,53,411 Crore. The report comprises a list of 500 most-valued, non-state-owned companies in India.
Launched by Burgundy Private, Axis Bank's Private Banking Business, and Hurun India, the report ranks companies according to their value, which is defined as market capitalization for listed companies and valuations in the case of non-listed companies.
The 2021 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 came from 43 cities across India, led by Mumbai (167), Bengaluru (52) and Chennai (38), Gurugram (36), New Delhi (31), Hyderabad (27), and Pune (25).
Divi's Laboratories founded in 1990 tops the Hyderabad list with a valuation of Rs 1,36, 699 crores followed by Hindustan Zinc (Rs 1,31,598 crore) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (Rs 77,540 crore),
Brightcom Group based out of Hyderabad is the Biggest Gainer in the valuation in India. The company's valuation grew by 2791 percent which now stands at Rs 7,588 crore.
Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MeiL) is a company in India, whose valuation grew by 45 percent without any external investor. The valuation of MeiL now stands at Rs 28,900 crore.
Some of the most valuable companies are 'bootstrapped', and have grown without taking external funding.
Oil-to-telecom conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has topped the list of 500 most valuable companies in the country.
The average age of the 20121 `Burgundy Private Hurun India 500' was 39 years. Also, 52 companies are younger than 10 years. Mensa Brands is the youngest company to feature on the list. It was founded just 6 months ago.
21 companies are older than 100 years, led by Forbes & Company founded in 1767. 44% of 2021 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 sell services, 56% sell physical products.
53 of the 2021 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 companies also featured in the Hurun Global Unicorn List 2021, led by BYJU'S, InMobi, and OYO. 445 shareholders of the 2021 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500 made the Hurun India Rich List 2021.
