30 Hyderabad schools missing from TS SSC hall tickets list; students, parents panic

Hyderabad: Students from approximately 30 schools, including 8 to 10 schools from the Golconda zone, found themselves excluded from the Telangana State Secondary Certificate (TS SSC) board exam 2024 hall ticket list.

Since the board exams are scheduled to be held from March 18 to April 2, panicked students, parents and schools' management made desperate calls and visits to schools, even on the Maha Shivaratri holiday on Friday.

Parents seek immediate rectification

Despite meticulous verification of forms, records and internal marks, the affected schools, which include Success The School (Tolichowki), Kakatiya Vidya Niketan (Kakatiya Nagar), Sri Chaitanya Techno School (Tolichowki), Anwarul Uloom Boys School, Shangrila English School and Sunshine High School, were bewildered to discover their omission from the official board website.

The parents pleaded for immediate intervention, emphasising the distress their children were undergoing. “The children must not undergo this much stress; the board should rectify the situation promptly,” remarked one parent.

Schools caught unaware

The schools' management, caught off guard, attempted to pacify the anxious students.

“We have verified all necessary documents and submitted them diligently. The omission of our school is a mystery,” said a representative from Success The School.

Adding to the chaos, some parents rushed to the Board of Secondary Education on Friday, only to find it closed. The disheartened and worried parents were informed that the board office would only reopen on Monday as Saturday is a second Saturday.

Emotional burden adding to exam stress

This has taken an emotional toll on students. Some of them were seen crying over the omission of their school names. “We urge the board to address this matter immediately and ensure that students are not unfairly burdened with stress," demanded another concerned parent.

“The situation will be rectified on Monday and all students will receive their hall tickets,” said Mujahid Mastan, a Congress party representative, who was approached by the parents for a solution.

As the affected schools await clarification from the board, students and parents hope for a swift resolution to alleviate the anxiety surrounding the upcoming board exams.
