4 held for brutal murder of auto driver
The Hyderabad police arrested four persons on Saturday in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found in Lakeview Hills, Bandlaguda.

The victim was identified as Mohammed Asif, an auto driver. The arrested persons are Shaiklsmail alias Adil (26), Mohammed Tajuddin (21), Shaik Osman (20), and Mohammed Sahil (20). Adil is a rowdy sheeter and 11 cases have been registered against him, including one under the Arms Act 1959, at various police stations in the city.
According to the police, Adil came to know that Asif was defaming him and spreading rumors that he was teasing girls and committing thefts and extortion. Adil warned Asif against spreading such rumors.
On 20 September, Adil hatched a plan along with Tajuddin, Shaik Osman, Mohammed Sahil, and Mohammed Rehan to kill Asif. He instructed the others to arrange a party at Pardiwada Puranapool and invited Asif. After consuming alcohol, Adil confronted Asif and the two got into an argument. During the quarrel, Adil took out a knife and stabbed Asif.
The five men put Asif in his auto and took him to Bandlaguda. They took the body to an isolated area beside ISL Engineering College. They dragged him out but noticed that Asif was still breathing. Adil then slit his neck with the knife and stabbed him.
The police have seized the auto used in the crime, a knife, three mobile phones, and a Honda Activa.
