4-lane RUB, approach road at Tukaram Gate thrown open to public

Hyderabad: The construction of the four-lane road under bridge (RUB) and approach road, including the drainage system, at Tukaram Gate has been completed and is open to the public. The estimated cost of the project borne by the GHMC and the railways is approximately Rs. 29.10 crore.

The total length of the road is 375 metres of which 86 meters is the ramp of the approach road towards Mettuguda in Secunderabad and 159 metres is the ramp towards Marredpally. The width of the service road is 5.50 metres.

The construction of the road under bridge will provide great relief to commuters who had to face difficulties due to the frequent closure of the railway level crossing at Lalaguda Halt station.

Also, this road will ease the congestion on the Malkajgiri, Marredpally, Tarnaka, Mettuguda, and Lalapet- Secunderabad road. It also provides good connectivity to the people of Moula Ali, Malkajgiri and Tarnaka to proceed to Secunderabad.
