40-hour water cut in parts of Hyderabad from Wednesday

Hyderabad: Drinking water supply to several parts of Hyderabad will be disrupted for nearly 40 hours due to major repair works on the Manjeera Phase-II pumping main.
According to officials, multiple heavy leakages have been detected in the 1500-mm diameter PSC pumping main located between Patancheru and Hydernagar, and between Club Gurr and Patancheru.
To rectify these leaks, maintenance works will be taken up from 6 am on Wednesday, February 11, to 10 pm on Thursday, February 12.
Low pressure and supply interruption expected
During the repair period, the water supply will be affected in several areas. While some localities will receive water at low pressure, others will experience a complete disruption.

O&M Division 17:
RC Puram, Ashok Nagar, Jyothi Nagar, Lingampally, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Madinaguda, Miyapur
O&M Division 22:
Beeramguda, Ameenpur, Bhagyanagar Colony
Transmission Division-2:
Off-take points and bulk water connections
O&M Division 6:
Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet
O&M Division 9:
KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Bhagyanagar Colony (Pragathi Nagar)
Advisory to consumers
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to use drinking water judiciously during the repair period and make necessary arrangements in advance.
Officials said the maintenance works are being undertaken to ensure long-term reliability of the water supply system and inconvenience to the public is regretted.
