40 youths booked for rash bike racing, public nuisance near T-Hub

Hyderabad: As many as 40 rash drivers who race bikes were booked and their vehicles were seized for loud behaviour and creating a nuisance near T-Hub, Raidurgam. The Raidurgam Police of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate registered five cases against the 40 riders.

Case details

On Friday, at 11 pm, the police said they received a tip that some youths were racing bikes near T-Hub, Knowledge City, Gachibowli, Serilingampally. They were shouting loudly and disturbing and scaring the commuters.

The Raidurgam police rushed to the spot and found some young people doing bike stunts and racing on the public roads exposing everyone to the danger of a serious road accident. On seeing the police, the bikers tried to escape but 40 bike riders were caught. Subsequently, five cases were registered against all 40 bikers.

All vehicles will be handed over to RTA for further action under the Motor Vehicle Act.

Public advisory

Parents are requested to control their children because of the possibility of accidents and loss of life. Racing bikes are not allowed in any manner. Cases will be registered against offenders who can also face jail.
