Hyderabad: A professor from the University of Hyderabad (UoH) died by suicide on 29 November.
Dr. Rishi Bhardwaj, 40, was an assistant professor and the head of the department of optometry, School of Medical Science. He died in his home inside the university campus.
According to the police, he had a dispute with his family and ended his life while his wife was out on a morning walk. He was taken to Citizen Hospital where he was declared dead. Later, he was taken to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.
The professor is from Himachal Pradesh and is survived by his wife and a daughter.
