Hyderabad: HYDRAA has removed as many as 53 unauthorised advertising hoardings erected without permission across the twin cities as part of a special drive from February 7, said HYDRAA commissioner AV Ranganath.
Following the special drive, representatives from various advertising agencies met Ranganath at his office, Buddha Bhavan, here on Thursday. During the meeting, the representatives sought 10 days for the removal of their hoardings, unipoles and uni-structures.
He made it clear to the representatives that hoardings and unipoles with permits would not be removed.
Elaborating further, he said that as many as 35 unipoles, four uni-structures and 14 hoardings which were erected illegally were removed so far on both sides of the roads in Shamshabad, Kothwalguda, Narsingi, Thondapalli, Gollapally Road and Tellapur areas in the presence of municipality authorities.
āWe will continue to remove unauthorised advertisement hoardings within the limits of city suburb municipalities,ā he said.
Ranganath said that as time was given to them following their appeal, HYDRAA launched a special drive and began removing the illegal hoardings, unipoles and uni-structures across the twin cities.
