A total of 8,434 idols were installed this year in Cyberabad of which 2,001 were in the Madhapur zone, 3,379 in the Balanagar zone, and 3,054 in the Shamshabad zone.

On the final day, 2,787 idols will be immersed, including 1,054 large idols, in IDL Tank, Kukatpally. Meanwhile, 620 idols will be immersed in Hussain Sagar on the final day of which 218 are from Rajendranagar and 141 from Sanathnagar.

There are 35 important lakes in the Cyberabad area of which 23 are in the GHMC limits, three in Medchal and nine in Ranga Reddy.

Follow COVID-19 norms, stay safe

Ahead of the immersions, the Cyberabad police have issued an advisory requesting the public to cooperate to ensure hassle-free movement of vehicles and people. People have been advised to adhere to COVID-19 norms. The police have also warned them against believing in rumours and forwarding unverified rumours. They advised WhatsApp group admins to be careful.

"Give your children a small piece of paper with your contact number written on it. This is to make sure that even if they are lost, it is easy to trace them. Or make your children memorize the contact number," the advisory read.

The Cyberabad She teams will be deployed during the immersion. Women can contact She teams helpline number 9493622395 in case of eve-teasing or harassment. The Cyberabad police have also deployed trained officers with experience on bandobast duties.
