Act of love & courage: 2 Nacharam boys wade through floodwaters to save puppy

āKids generally throw stones at dogs, but Praneeth and Nagaraju risked their lives to save the dog. Despite the dangerous conditions and the dirty water filled with rocks, these kids fearlessly made their way through the floodwaters barefoot to rescue the stranded animal. Their extraordinary act of bravery and kindness is nothing short of inspiring, and their story is set to motivate many others,ā said Adulapuram Goutham PCA officer for Stray Animal Foundation of India.
Describing the incident, Nagaraju, whoās studying in class 6 at the Government School of Habsiguda, said, āWe saw a dog stuck in a wall across the canal. We felt so sad and decided to go and rescue the dog. So we slowly crossed it, held the dog, brought it back and handed it over to Shiva Anna, who treats dogs.ā
Get rewarded with cycle, bags & clothes
Impressed by the incredible bravery displayed by the two children, the Stray Animal Foundation of India has stepped forward to acknowledge their selfless actions. When asked on what they wanted as a token of reward, the children replied, āOur school is very far, and we walk till there. So we want a cycle, pens, bags, and clothes.ā

The rescue was captured by a bystander, Kadiyala Shiva, whoās also an activist. He was in awe of the childrenās determination. Shivaās timely footage helped shed light on this heartwarming incident, emphasising the importance of compassion and bravery in our society.
Furthermore, Vikas, from NGO SAFI, witnessed the rescue and extended his support by taking the boys to a shopping mall and a cycle shop. His act of generosity ensured that the children are equipped with the necessary resources to continue their education and pursue their dreams.
Although the story quickly went viral on social media, drawing widespread attention, a number of concerned netizens raised valid questions about the safety of the children. Citing previous incidents involving children who tragically drowned during heavy rainfall, commenters expressed their doubts about how the kids managed to navigate the risky flow of water.
