ACB arrests SR Nagar SI for accepting Rs 25k bribe

Identified as Sub Inspector Bellana Bhaskar, he was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant Mohammed Khasim.

The accused had promised not to pursue a criminal case against the complainant. He had also promised to get his van released from the Civil Supplies department.

"The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the accused. The officer performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain an undue advantage," said the ACB.

The ACB said the accused is being produced before the principal special judge SPE, Hyderabad.
