Hyderabad: The officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials caught Kushaiguda circle inspector (CI) G Veera Swamy and sub-inspector (SI) Shaik Shafi red-handed while accepting a bribe on Friday.
The ACB officials caught them while accepting a bribe of Rs 3 lakhs from the complainant Singireddy Bharat Reddy at the Kushaiguda Police Station under Rachakonda Commissionerate to close a case. The bribe amount was accepted through L Upender, their conduit.
The fingers on both hands of the accused yielded positive results in the chemical test. The three officials were arrested and produced before the special judge for SPE and ACB cases in Nampally. Further investigation is on.
