ACB raids properties of Marrigudem tahsildar Mahender Reddy, seizes Rs 2 crore cash
Teams conducted raids at 15 places which belong to Mahender Reddy
By Newsmeter Network Published on 30 Sep 2023 2:01 PM GMTNalgonda: The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the residence of Marrigudem tahsildar Mahender Reddy and seized Rs 2 crores of unaccounted cash in Nalgonda.
On Saturday, the ACB also conducted raids at 15 other locations which are said to belong to Mahender Reddy and his relatives.
A case of disproportionate assets was registered against Reddy. He has acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by indulging in corrupt practices and dubious means during his service.

The unaccounted cash was found at his LB Nagar Shiridisai Nagar colonyās residence. Around Rs 2 crores of cash was stored in a trunk. The ACB officials had to drill open the lock of the trunk to reach the valuables.
During the search operation net cash of Rs. 2,07,00,000 Crore movable and immovable, all worth Rs 4,56,66,660 Crore have been seized.
This is an offence punishable U/ s 13(1) (b) and 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (as amended in 2018), officers of ACB have registered an FIR. Mahender Reddy was taken into custody and will be produced before the court.
