Hyderabad: The Chief Justice of Telangana High Court, Ujjal Bhuyan, was on his way to the court on Thursday when he saw a destitute man on the street near Medina Center. He helped the man and took him to Osmania General Hospital (OGH),
The man, G. Srinivas, was mentally challenged and had been missing from his home since 2019.
Srinivas was severely dehydrated and was unable to walk. Volunteers of the Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) cleaned, clothed, and fed him. He was later admitted in the MECO ward of OGH.
On Friday morning, Srinivas's younger brother saw his photo in the newspaper and rushed to OGH. His efforts to locate his brother in OGH were in vain, until he met HHF volunteers. Tired of searching, he reluctantly asked them if they knew anything about his brother.
The HHF team immediately took him to his brother. The family was extremely happy. Srinivas will continue to be treated at OGH till his condition stabilizes.
