All GHMC offices now offer Parivahan Sarathi services for driving licence renewal, address updates

Hyderabad: Following a successful pilot at the Secunderabad RTO, the Parivahan Sarathi services will now be available at all Greater Hyderabad offices starting Monday.
Citizens can now complete driving licence renewals, request duplicates and update address details at any RTO, including the Khairatabad RTA, under this unified system.
One-stop driving licence services nationwide
The integrated Sarathi platform allows licence holders to access and manage their driving records at any RTO across the country with a single visit. This move is designed to eliminate the need for multiple visits to the original RTO, simplifying the entire process for users.
Instant inter-state verification
A key feature of the new system is its ability to perform real-time inter-state verifications. This functionality not only facilitates access to transport services across India but also enables government agencies to efficiently conduct background and identity checks.
Enhancing transparency and curbing fraud
Officials highlighted that the streamlined platform will reduce documentation fraud and boost transparency in the issuance and renewal of driving licences. By digitising the process, the Sarathi system minimises manual errors and expedites service delivery.
A citizen-centric digital initiative
The rollout is expected to significantly enhance convenience for thousands of residents. With up-to-date online tracking, citizens can easily monitor their service requests, ensuring quicker processing and minimal bureaucratic delays, said Joint Transport Commissioner Ch Ramesh.
