Ambedkar statue unveiling: Check these routes before commuting in Hyderabad on April 14

Hyderabad: Traffic police have announced diversions given the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar statue unveiling function on April 14.

Diversions will remain in force from 1 pm to 8 pm on April 14.

Due to the public gathering behind I-Max Theatre, Necklace Rotary, commuters are encouraged to be aware of the traffic diversion routes listed below.

If necessary, the following diversions will be made according to the local situation:

1) No traffic will be permitted between the VV Statue, Necklace Rotary, NTR Marg, and Telugu Thalli Junction, and vice versa.

2) Traffic heading towards Necklace Rotary from Khairatabad/Panjagutta/Somajiguda will be diverted at VV Statue towards Shadan - Nirankari.

3) Traffic from Tankbund to PVNR Marg will be prohibited and will be redirected at Sonabi Mosque towards Ranigunj/Karbala.

4) Traffic from Rasoolpura/Minister Road to Necklace Rotary through Nallagutta will be prohibited and will be redirected to Ranigunj at Nallagutta Junction.

5) Traffic arriving from Iqbal Minar Junction and wishing to drive towards Tankbund - Ranigunj and Liberty would be instructed to take the Telugu Thalli flyover - Katta Maisamma Junction - Lower Tankbund instead.

6) Traffic coming from Tankbund and Telugu Thalli seeking to travel to NTR Marg would be redirected at Telugu Thalli Junction to Iqbal Minar Junction.

7) Traffic from BRKR Bhavan to NTR Marg will be prohibited and redirected from Telugu Thalli Junction to Iqbal Minar Junction.

8) Traffic from Iqbal Minar Junction to the Mint complex lane will be prohibited.

9) Traffic heading from Khairatabad Bada Ganesh Lane to Printing Press Junction or Necklace Rotary will be redirected to Rajdooth Lane.

10) NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Necklace Road, and Lumbini Park will be closed on 14 April 2023 due to the unveiling of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Statue by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Telangana state and a public gathering.

RTC Buses Diversion:

RTC buses traveling from Afzalgunj to Secunderabad should avoid the Tank Bund Road and instead use the Telugu Thalli Flyover, Katta Maisamma, Lower Tank Bund, DBR Mills, and Kavadiguda.

Traffic Congestion Junctions:

The following intersections will be crowded due to traffic diversions on April 14, and commuters are recommended to avoid them during the above-mentioned times.

1. VV Statue (Khairatabad) Intersection

2. Old Saifabad PS Intersection

3. Ravindra Bharathi Intersection Mint Compound Road

4. Telugu Thalli Junction

5. Necklace Rotary

6. Nallagutta Junction

7. Katta Maisamma (Lower Tankbund)

8. Tank Bund

9. Liberty

All residents are urged to take notice of the above detours and use other routes to their destinations, as well as to comply with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
