Hyderabad: Amitabh Bachchan suffers injuries on sets of 'Project-K’

Hyderabad: Superstar Amitabh Bachchan suffered injuries during the `Project-K' shooting in Hyderabad. Starring Prabhas and Deepika in the lead roles, the film is directed by Nag Ashwin. Amitabh Bachchan is playing a pivotal role in the film and has been shooting in Hyderabad.

He got injured during an action sequence and suffered a muscle tear to the right rib cage. Big B shared the update on his blog and said that the shoot had to be canceled as it will take him weeks to recover from the injury.

Amitabh consulted a doctor and underwent a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. He has flown back home. Doctors have advised him to rest as the injury will take at least a few weeks to heal.

Amitabh took to his official blog to share the news. Fans of the actor are worried about his health of Amitabh and are visiting his bungalow Jalsa in Mumbai to get a glimpse of him.

"It's painful while breathing and making movement," he wrote. The superstar said he is taking medicines for pain relief. "So, work has been postponed for the moment. I won't be able to meet my well-wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening. So, do not come and inform as many people you can. Rest all is well," he said.

Project K is slated for release on January 12 in multiple languages.
