Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are set to witness heavy rainfall over the next three days under the influence of a low-pressure system.
The showers are expected to have an impact on the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations across both states.
In Telangana, several districts are forecast to receive intense downpour ranging between 80-100 mm. Hyderabad is expected to record moderate rains on Tuesday, which are likely to continue for another three to four days.

As per the IMD Amaravati bulletin, moderate to heavy showers are predicted in north coastal Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two locations. The districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, and ASR are likely to be hit by heavy to very heavy rains, while isolated parts of Kakinada and Eluru may also receive heavy rainfall.
On Wednesday, August 27, isolated locations in north coastal Andhra Pradesh are forecast to witness heavy showers.
Given that Wednesday, August 27, marks Ganesh Chaturthi, the rainfall across both Telugu states may cause inconvenience to devotees planning to visit Ganesh idol pandals in various cities. The heavy downpour could also result in traffic snarls and congestion in several areas.
