Another IIT Hyd student dies by suicide, 2nd in 15 days

Another student from IIT Hyderabad died by suicide after jumping from a lodge in Pothireddypally in Telangana's Sangareddy district on Wednesday.

According to the police reports, the deceased was identified as Megh Kapoor, a native of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Megh completed his B.Tech from IIT Hyderabad three months ago and has been residing in the lodge for nearly a month.

A similar incident was reported on 31 August, when another student from the same institution died on campus under suspicious conditions. No clarity has been given on his death yet.

According to the sources, in the last fifteen days, two students have committed suicide and six students from IIT Hyderabad have reportedly committed suicide since 2019.
