The city police have registered a case against Alpha Hotel at Secunderabad after a group of auto-rickshaw drivers alleged that the staff assaulted them and damaged their vehicles.

Hyderabad: The city police have registered a case against Alpha Hotel at Secunderabad after a group of auto-rickshaw drivers alleged that the staff assaulted them and damaged their vehicles.

A case has been registered under relevant charges at the Market police station under whose jurisdiction the hotel falls.

On Wednesday evening, when the drivers had parked their vehicles near the hotel on the main road, the hotel staff allegedly started abusing them. When the drivers protested, the staff allegedly assaulted them.

"We had parked our vehicles at a distance from their parking space. Still, they used vulgar language, assaulted us, and damaged our vehicles. We appeal to the police to take strict action against them and help us to run our business peacefully," said an auto driver.

They also alleged that the hotel did not have a designated parking space and its customers' park vehicles on the roadside. Earlier the hotel was instructed to make arrangements for the parking, but it was not followed, they alleged.

Meanwhile, Wednesday's incident creating a tense atmosphere and affected the traffic movement. Police had to rush to the spot and disperse the mob.
