Hyderabad: The Bahadurpura flyover bridge, which has been built at a cost of approximately Rs. 69 crores, will be thrown open to the public from March. The flyover will help ease traffic in the area.
There are constant traffic jams from Shamshabad to Aranghar via LB Nagar to Yadadri and other places. Once the flyover is open, traffic jams will reduce considerably which will also reduce the travel time and save fuel. This flyover will make it easier for vehicles coming from Aranghar to LB Nagar via Old Basti and prevent traffic congestion.
The Bahadurpur bridge will have six lanes. Further, to avoid water stagnation, drainage systems have been constructed on both sides of the service roads.
The Strategic Road Development Scheme (SRDP) is also working on improving signal-free systems along with other road development projects.
All the remaining work on the underpasses and flyovers, which are being carried out at a cost of Rs. 8,000 crore by the SRDP, is expected to be completed by December this year.
