Bathukamma: Check traffic diversions in Hyderabad on Sep 27 from 2 pm to 11 pm

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic restrictions and diversions on Saturday in connection with Bathukamma celebrations at Upper Tank Bund. The measures will be in effect from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Restrictions on Tank Bund Access

Traffic from Telugu Talli junction and Karbala Maidan towards Tank Bund will not be permitted during the restricted hours.

• Vehicles from Iqbal Minar towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at the beginning of the flyover via Telugu Talli flyover–Katta Maisamma–DBR Mills–Indira Park–Gandhinagar–RTC Crossroads.

• Traffic from VV Statue towards NTR Marg will be diverted at Indira Gandhi statue (Necklace rotary) towards Prasad’s IMAX and Mint Compound Lane.

• Vehicles from Nallagutta junction towards Budha Bhavan will be diverted at Nallagutta X-crossroads towards Ranigunj and Necklace Road.

• Traffic from Liberty towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Ambedkar Statue towards Iqbal Minar, taking a ‘U’ turn at Telugu Talli junction onto Telugu Talli flyover.

• Vehicles from Secunderabad towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at Karbala Maidan via Bible House–Jabbar Complex–Kawadiguda–Gandhi Nagar T Junction–Goshala–Dhobhi Ghat–Swimming Pool–Bandamaisamma–Indira Park–Katta Maisamma–Telugu Talli flyover.

• Traffic from Musheerabad and Kawadiguda towards Children’s Park–Upper Tank Bund will be diverted at DBR Mills towards MRO Office–Dhobhi Ghat–Swimming Pool–Bandamaisamma–Indira Park–Katta Maisamma.

RTC Bus Diversions

• Inter-district buses from Secunderabad towards MGBS will be diverted at Sweekar-Upakar junction via YWCA–Sangeeth–Mettuguda–Tarnaka–Nallakunta–Fever Hospital cross road–Barkathpura–Tourist Hotel–Nimboli Adda–Chaderghat–Rangmahal–MGBS.

• City buses from Karbala Maidan will be diverted via Bible House–Jabbar Complex–Kawadiguda crossroads–Gandhi Nagar T Junction–Goshala–Dhobhi Ghat–Swimming Pool–Bandamaisamma–Indira Park–Katta Maisamma–Telugu Talli flyover.

Junctions to Avoid

Commuters are advised to avoid the following junctions during the restriction period:

VV Statue (Khairatabad), Old PS Saifabad, Iqbal Minar, Telugu Talli junction, Necklace rotary, Liberty, Ravindra Bharati, Ambedkar Statue, Tank Bund, Kavadiguda crossroads, Katta Maisamma, Karbala Maidan, Ranigunj, and Nallagutta.
