Hyderabad: Bigg Boss Telugu Season 7 ended with a grand finale hosted by Nagarjuna on Sunday. Before the show began, rumours began to circulate that Pallavi Prashanth won the Bigg Boss trophy, and Prashanth was eventually declared the winner.

Fans gathered at Annapurna Studios, as they usually do every year at the end of each season, eagerly waiting for the contestants to come out and celebrate Prashanth’s victory. However, amid the excitement, unfortunate events unfolded.

This time, some individuals, claiming to be supporters of the winner Pallavi Prashanth, attacked the cars belonging to the show’s contestants. These attacks extended to damaging public property, specifically TSRTC buses near Krishnanagar Annapurna Studio in Hyderabad. Six buses were reportedly damaged during this incident.

Despite police presence at the studio, the attackers vandalised cars belonging to contestants. Amardeep, the runner-up of the season, along with his family, tried to appeal for passage but encountered aggression. The assailants not only targeted Amardeep’s car, where his family was present but also damaged the vehicle and windows of other ex-contestants.

TSRTC condemns vandalism

VC Sajjanar, managing director of TSRTC expressed concern and condemnation via his social media account in response to the unfortunate events during the Bigg Boss 7 finale. He highlighted that some individuals attacked the TSRTC buses near Krishnanagar Annapurna Studio in Hyderabad, resulting in damage to six buses.

Sajjanar emphasised the seriousness of the issue by stating that RTC officials lodged a complaint at the Jubilee Hills Police Station urging the police to take legal action against those accountable.

He stressed that engaging in madness under the guise of fandom is detrimental to society. Sajjanar emphasised the significance of RTC buses as a crucial mode of safe transportation for people and underscored that such attacks directly harm society. Explaining the importance of safeguarding public property, particularly TSRTC buses, Sajjanar called for collective responsibility in ensuring their protection against such incidents.

Meanwhile, the incident drew attention to the dangers of extreme fanaticism and the need for responsible behaviour in celebrity culture. Videos circulating on social media revealed the distressing situation, leaving supporters of other contestants concerned.
