Bizarre theft of doctor’s shoes at Somajiguda Yashoda Hospital caught on CCTV

Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident at Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda, an unidentified individual allegedly stole a pair of shoes from the doctor’s dressing room, according to Panjagutta police. The incident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 12:10 pm, as per a complaint filed by K Krishna, the hospital’s security officer.

The suspect reportedly entered the hospital through the B-1 cellar area and used the doctor’s lift to access the fifth floor. After spending some time inside the premises, the individual exited the hospital. It was only later that hospital staff discovered the theft of a pair of shoes valued at Rs 4,000 from the doctor’s dressing room.

Upon reviewing CCTV footage, hospital staff identified the suspect wearing the stolen shoes and walking towards Raj Bhavan Road. The Panjagutta police have registered a case under Sections 331(3) and 305(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and are currently investigating the matter.

Ward boy caught

Panjagutta police have identified the thief as Mir Doddi Mahesh. The 22-year-old Doddi worked as a ward boy in a nearby hospital. He has been arrested by the police. Hailing from Suryapet district, he moved to Hyderabad a few months ago and has been staying in a private hostel in Somajiguda, where he committed several thefts. During the police investigation, it was discovered that he had previously stolen gold and cell phones in Kukatpally. An iPhone,and the stolen shoes were recovered from him.
