Hyderabad Police have booked Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh for passing derogatory comments against Sufi Saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin of Ajmer Rajasthan.

Kanchanbagh PS Inspector C Umamaheshwar Rao said a case has been registered after a resident filed a complaint regarding the MLA'for deliberately hurting sentiments by using foul words against the Sufi saint.

"A case has been registered under Section 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs). As per the complaint, a video of the MLA making comments against Ajmer Dargah has gone viral. A resident saw the video on YouTube and filed a complaint," he added.

He said that an investigation is currently ongoing.

What Raja Singh said

"Nowadays, a lot of Hindus are visiting Ajmer Dargah. If any of them come to know of the real history of Ajmer Dargah, I challenge they wouldn't go there and bow their heads thereafter. This is the dargah that threw Prithviraj Chouhan's wife to the soldiers for raping. Woh ek haraami ka dargah hai aur uski khabar hein woh," said Raja Singh in a video that has gone viral

In April 2022, a case was been booked against Bhartiya Janta Party MLA T. Raja Singh at Shahinayathgunj and Sultan Bazar police stations for making provocative statements during the Ram Navami rally.

At the Shahinayathgunj police station, the BJP leader was booked under section 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence), 295 A, 504 (intentionally insults, and thereby gives provocation to any person, intending or knowing it to be likely that such provocation will cause him to break the public peace), and 505 (Statements conducing to public mischief) of the IPC.

Mangalghat Police also filed an FIR against him in February 2022 after the Election Commission of India (ECI) ordered an FIR against the BJP MLA and barred him from making public statements for 72 hours regarding the ongoing elections given his recent statements threatening Uttar Pradesh voters.
