Eatala speaks about encroachment by real estate brokers
Speaking to the media, the MP, speaking about the long-standing difficulties of the poor, said, “Some people are buying encroached land without knowing it. Grabbing the lands of the poor is a crime and real estate brokers are doing business by occupying the lands of the poor. Grabbing the land of the poor will lead to serious action and officials are also acting at the behest of real estate brokers.”
Eatala further said that the BJP is the party that supports the poor and is the architect of many colonies for the poor in the State. He also accused officials of fabricating paperwork to facilitate exploitation.
“In 1985, poor families in Narapally and Korremula villages purchased properties and erected houses. Nonetheless, 149 acres of idle land were resold numerous times, inflicting tremendous hardship on the real owners. The blame is not with the customers, but with the bureaucrats who falsified documents. The bureaucrats, along with the brokers, should be imprisoned. I will raise the problem with revenue officials, the district collector, the police commissioner, and possibly the chief minister,” the MP said.
He also said that small districts were supposed to make it easier for administration and collectors would have more time for the public. However, the collectors are inaccessible and the commissioner has no time to have dialogue with us, he added.
