BJP's Gnanendra Prasad dies by suicide at his Miyapur home

Hyderabad: BJP state executive member Gnanendra Prasad (45) was found dead at his residence in Allwyn Colony in Miyapur on 8 August. Miyapur SHO N. Thirupathi Rao confirmed that he died by suicide.

"Gnanedra locked himself inside his room and asked his personal assistant not to disturb him the previous day. When his assistant came back on Monday morning with breakfast, the door was locked. The assistant kicked down the door and found his body," Mr. Rao said.

The police said the reason for his death is currently unknown. "We have not found any suicide note. A case has been registered and an investigation is currently ongoing," the officer said.
