BRS leader Manne Krishank booked for posting false info about Osmania University

Hyderabad: The Osmania University (OU) Police on Tuesday booked a case against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Manne Krishank for posting fake information regarding the closure of University Hostels and Mess at OU.
In a complaint filed by chief warden of the OU G Srinivas stated that a fake notice regarding the closure of University Hostels and Messes, OU is being circulated on social media. The message is false and is damaging the reputation of the university, he said.
Srinivas also requested police to stop the circulation of the fake message and initiate necessary action against Manne Krishank for spreading the false message. Based on the complaint, the OU police station sub inspector Y Kashaiah registered a case against Manne Krishank under Cr no 207/2024 U/s 466, 468, 469, 505 (1) (c ) IPC and further investigation is underway into the matter.
