Telangana HC denies Sudhaker Reddy's claim on Bathukammakunta lake

Earlier on January 17, the Telangana High Court denied the petition of BRS leader Sudhaker Reddy, who sought to prevent the GHMC, HMDA, HYDRAA, and tax department from renovating or rejuvenating Bathukammakunta, a lake in Amberpet.

Based on a sale agreement from the late Syed Azam dated January 16, 1986, Sudhaker Reddy asserted that his family members owned the seven-acre tank land in Survey No.563/1 at Bagh Amberpet.

According to Reddy, the vendor had bought the land from Pingali Venkatram Reddy via a sale deed, and it was dry land intended for residential building. He also argued that the land was never considered a water body.
