While the election code was on, the MLA and the other accused allegedly attempted to grab the land

BRS MLA Malla Reddy, Medchal MRO and 6 others booked in land cheating case

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police have booked a cheating case against BRS Medchal MLA Ch Malla Reddy, Medchal Mandal Revenue Officer and six others in a land grabbing case. Pertinent to note that while the election code was on, the MLA and the other accused allegedly attempted to grab the land.

The Shamirpet police under the Cyberabad Commissionerate, based on a complaint filed by Bikshapathi Kethavath (74) years old, registered a case under 420 IPC, 3 (1) (g) SC ST POA ACT 2015 against 8 persons.

Fraud reported

According to the complainant, Bikshapathi Kethavath owns 47 acres 18 Guntas land located in sy no 33,34 and 35 of Keshavaram village Mc Pally mandal, falling under Medchal Malkajigiri district. This land comes as legacy from his elders and was registered on complainant mothers name Raji. On 3rd November, a month before the Telangana state elections- accused person Srinivas Reddy, Harimoham Reddy, Madhukar Reddy, Shivudu, Mallareddy (BRS MLA) , Sneha Ramireddy, Ramidi Laxhmamma, Ramidi Neha Reddy along with some others told the complainant that they going to take the land and did property transfer. In addition to this, Mr Surender at Muduchathalpaly Tahasildhar Officer allegedly cheated on complainant by transferring the land.

The complainant said that 'the said persons gave Rs 3 lakhs each to the family members as a land purchase, while the land cost is multifold.

The complainant also accused the 8 persons of atrocities in the name of caste. Based on this complainant, the Shamirpet police have registered a cheating case against the 8 persons.
