BRS Secunderabad MLA Padma Rao’s followers booked for 'creating nuisance'

By Newsmeter Network Published on 27 Nov 2023 2:14 PM GMTHyderabad: The followers of BRS MLA from Secunderabad T Padma Rao Goud were booked by the Hyderabad police for allegedly creating a nuisance and violating the Model Code of Conduct in view of the ensuing Telangana State Legislative Assembly Elections.
According to official sources, police officials from the Market police station, at 10:45 pm on November 26, received information that a huge gathering was seen near the residence of MLA Padma Rao Goud, also the BRS candidate for Secunderabad Assembly Constituency.
Immediately upon receiving the information, the Flying Squad and Market PS officials rushed to the spot and found a huge public gathering of about 150-200 members at Padma Rao’s residence, in Audiah Nagar, Secunderabad. Police said that some of them were wearing BRS scarves and were sitting inside, and upon seeing the police, they ran away from the spot.
The in-charge of FST-2A (Flying Squad) of Sanathnagar Abdul Shafi lodged a complaint at Police Market PS that many persons gathered at Padma Rao’s residence without having any prior permission from the returning officer concerned and created a nuisance. Based on his complaint, a case was registered and an investigation was initiated.
During the course of the investigation, eyewitnesses’ statements were recorded and videos detailing the incident were analysed, which corroborated the contents of the FIR. It established the prima facie of the offence.
Subsequently, Hyderabad police issued notices to Padma Rao Goud, Kiran Kumar Goud, T Kishore Kumar Goud, Bhuvangiri Kiran Goud, M Dinesh, Baldev and M Maisaiah for allegedly creating a nuisance.
