Hyderabad: Continuing its efforts to strengthen public outreach, the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has decided to launch a weekly phone-in programme to directly receive complaints from citizens.
Programme begins this Saturday
HYDRAA currently conducts the Prajavani grievance redressal programme every Monday without interruption. As an extension of this initiative, the agency has now announced a dedicated phone-in programme to be held every Saturday.
The programme will commence from this Saturday, according to an official statement issued on Wednesday.
Timings and contact details
The phone-in programme will be conducted every Saturday, except on public holidays, between 12 noon and 1 pm. Residents living within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) limits of Hyderabad can register their complaints by calling 040-29565750 or 040-29565759 during the designated time.
Nature of complaints
According to HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath, citizens can raise complaints related to:
- Encroachments on lakes, parks, roads and public utility lands
- Dumping of soil and debris into water bodies
- Any other issues concerning the protection of public assets
- Pending complaints are also to be reviewed
The Commissioner added that citizens whose earlier complaints remain unresolved can also bring them to notice during the phone-in programme, enabling authorities to review and expedite action.
The initiative is aimed at improving accountability, ensuring faster grievance redressal and enhancing direct interaction between citizens and the administration.
