CBRT Examination: Sec 144 imposed; gatherings banned within 500 yards of test centers in Hyderabad

Police have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 Cr.PC and banned the assembly of people within 500 yards of CBRT Examination centers on Tuesday.

Police said the prohibitory orders have been imposed to maintain public order and prevent obstruction of any lawfully employed person or causing disturbance of public tranquility or a riot or and affray in the areas covered by Mahankali and Market Police Stations under the ACP Mahankali Division of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand prohibited any assembly of persons within 500 yards of all CBRT Examination centers. The examination will be held on January 3.

However, officers of the police, education, army, and others have been exempted.

Here is the list of people and services exempted from the order

1. Police Officers on duty

2. Military personnel on duty

3. Home Guards on duty

4. Flying Squad Education Department

5. Bonafide funeral procession

This order will remain in force from 6 am on January 3 till 6 am on January 4 at all the Test Centers.

"The public are hereby informed that any person violating the above orders shall be liable for prosecution Under Section 144 Cr.PC," the police said.
