Hyderabad: In a chilling incident, Cyberabad Police cracked the murder case of a 10-year-old girl in Kukatpally, who was brutally killed by a class X student in Conflict with Law (CCL) over a cricket bat.
The accused, a teenage boy, stabbed the girl multiple times when she caught him stealing her younger brother’s bat.
Timeline of events:
August 18, 2025
- The victim’s mother lodged a complaint at Kukatpally Police Station, reporting that her daughter had been murdered at home by an unknown assailant.
- An FIR (No. 1102/2025) was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Investigation:
- Police soon discovered that the crime was committed by a neighborhood boy, classified as a CCL.
- He had planned to steal an MRF cricket bat belonging to the victim’s younger brother.
Incident details:
- The boy sneaked into the house through the terrace.
- While leaving with the bat, the girl spotted him and raised an alarm.
- Fearing exposure, he attacked her with a knife, stabbing her multiple times.
- After the crime, he washed the knife, changed his clothes, and pretended as if nothing had happened.
