Hyderabad: Refuting the allegations made by the Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) that bureaucrats participated in the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) elections, CID Additional DGP Charu Sinha clarified that such accusations were baseless and lacked understanding of institutional rules.
No right for bureaucrats to vote in personal capacity
The CID stated that no government official holds the right to vote in the HCA elections in their individual capacity.
āMaking allegations without knowing the rules governing clubs and their associated institutions is meaningless,ā said Charu Sinha.
Investigation into forgery and fund misuse continues
The CID is currently investigating allegations of forgery and misappropriation of funds within the HCA. Officials appealed to the public and stakeholders not to spread misinformation regarding the elections.
āWe will share investigation updates with the media as and when required,ā said CID Additional DGP Charu Sinha, urging restraint in speculating on the ongoing probe.
