The soft launch of T-Works happened eight months ago, but the formal launch was on Thursday. The facility is an effort to create and celebrate the culture of hobbyists, makers, and innovators. The facility will have an investment of Rs. 110 crores, including about Rs. 40 crores from the corporate sector. As of now, it has already deployed machinery worth about Rs. 11.5 crores.

T-Works measures about 78,000 sqft in phase I and will be expanded to 2,50,000 sqft. It will focus on product design, engineering, fabrication, sourcing, materials, and other aspects. It will have facilities for woodwork, welding, sheet metal machining, printed circuit board fabrication, pottery, 3D printing, and e-workstations.

T-Works will provide everything needed to nurture an idea into an enterprise, including equipment, software, advice, expertise, market access, and funding. “We want T-Works to be self-sufficient like T-Hub. Satellite centres of T-Works will be set up in Nizamabad, Khammam, Karimnagar, Siddipet, and Warangal, where IT towers are being built,” said IT and industries minister KTR.
